S.O. Lube 1000™ – One-step solution for troublesome wells

S.O. Lube 1000™ is a 100% petroleum‑based, biodegradable, extreme‑pressure drilling lubricant that reduces wear, prevents bit balling, stabilizes wellbores, and boosts penetration rates even in challenging conditions.

Built on the legacy of Mike Dudley, “The Ole Wise One,” MS2-Solutions brings field‑tested judgement to every barrel you run.

Why S.O. Lube 1000™

Designed as a one‑step, field‑proven lubricant for all troublesome wells, S.O. Lube 1000™ improves drilling efficiency at low treat rates (typically 3–6%).

Performance & protection

Extreme pressure
  • Increases ROP with 3–6% concentration in the active system.
  • Minimizes torque and drag to keep the string moving smoothly.
  • Reduces wear on downhole tools and casing in demanding sections.

Hole stability & bit performance

Cleaner drilling
  • Prevents differential sticking in overbalanced conditions.
  • Stabilizes wellbores and helps prevent shale sloughing.
  • Eliminates bit balling and improves penetration rate.

Compatibility & environment

Pollution‑free
  • Compatible with all mud systems, including freshwater, seawater and glycol‑enhanced muds.
  • Withstands temperatures up to 500°F for deep, hot wells.
  • Passes the Static Sheen Test – pollution‑free performance.

How to treat your system

Add S.O. Lube 1000™ directly into the suction pit over at least two complete circulations. Avoid mixing caustic at the same time.

Initial treatment guideline

A common starting point is about 2.5% of total system capacity (55‑gal drums). For example, a 1,200‑bbl system (~54,000 gal ≈ 916 drums) would require ~23 drums at 2.5%.

This is a planning estimate only. Always confirm treatment volumes with your mud engineer and operator guidelines.
